Kebap is the most popular food as Turkish traditional cuisine. Whoever you ask about well-known Turkish food, they always answer as “kebap”. They are right, kebap has been a very popular category in many city restaurants. And, “döner”, a form of gyro is long famous with its patented Iskender version, which is served with yoghurt sitting on bread and with tomato sauce on. Nowadays, we are introduced to a new style of “döner kebap”: Duble Döner restaurant synthesizes this delicious food with western style. First, the restaurant’s venue concept is like fast food restaurants. It also reminds us the Chinese-Japanese fast food places.
This restaurant is new brand of Teppenyaki Alaturka Restaurants. Until this time, we always get used to eating “döner kebap” at all hole-in-the-wall or more local venues. However, Duble Döner is giving us a chance to eat at a place with a modern, hip look. There are four Duble Döners in Ankara: Bahçelievler, Bilkent, Çukurambar and Çankaya branches.
The hot “lavash” breads are prepared on second flat and they are sent on little slide and chef takes them and put meat, sauces, onions and spices. It is very interesting to watch what is going on. Now, I will go on giving you information by photo gallery…
